- 57 police officers transferred including 37 IPS officers
- Gujarat government also promoted 20 officers

Ahmedabad: In a major reshuffle, the Gujarat government on Saturday transferred 57 police officers, including 37 officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS). The state government has also given promotion to 20 officers of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police. According to the notification issued by the state home department, the officers who have been transferred include 20 State Police Service (SPS) officers.
Seven of the promoted officers were awaiting posting, while the rest have been promoted and transferred to other posts. Ahmedabad city Deputy Commissioner of Police Achal Tyagi has been transferred to Mehsana, Ravindra Patel to Bhavnagar and Premsukh Delu have been transferred to Jamnagar district. On the other hand, Surat City Deputy Commissioner of Police Vidhi Choudhary has been posted as Joint Director in the office of the Protection Director, Gandhinagar and Deepak Meghani, Deputy Commissioner, Vadodara City, as ADC to the Governor.
State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Commandant Sweta Shrimali has been sent to Western Railway, Ahmedabad as Superintendent. Vishal Vaghela, Superintendent of Crime Investigation Department (CID) (Intelligence) has been made the Superintendent of Sabarkantha district. According to the notification, Amreli, Panchmahal, Bhavnagar, Surendranagar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Dahod, Banaskantha, Bharuch, Tapi, Vadodara (Rural), Rajcourt (Rural), Narmada, Gir-Somnath, Gandhinagar, Surat (Rural), Mehsana, Kutch (Rural) East), Superintendents of Police of Patan and Morbi have also been transferred.
