Arun Govil Did Not Get Work In Bollywood After Becoming Ram In Ramayana Revealed Himself


Arun Govil: Famous producer-director Ramanand Sagar’s TV show ‘Ramayan’ has been a superhit serial seen on the small screen in the year 1987. Even today people’s love for this show has not diminished. At the same time, actor Arun Govil, who played the role of ‘Ram’ in this serial, became so popular among the audience that people started seeing him as ‘Lord Ram’ in real. However, on one hand, where he got recognition from house to house by playing the role of ‘Ram’, on the other hand, Arun stopped getting work in films after that. This was disclosed by Arun himself in one of his interviews.

Talking about his career, Arun Govil said in an interview, ‘I started my career as a hero in Hindi films. But after working in Ramayan, when I wanted to make a comeback in Bollywood films, producers used to tell me that my image as Ram has become very strong. We will not be able to cast you for any other role nor can we give you a supporting role.
