OBC will get so much exemption in teacher recruitment, commission ordered

Recruitment was out for 68,500 teacher posts in Uttar Pradesh. On which people of every category had applied. But in the meantime, there were allegations by OBC candidates that they are not getting exemption from their entitlement. On which they have now got relief.

Recruitment was out for 68,500 teacher posts in Uttar Pradesh. On which people of every category from unreserved to reserved had applied. But in the meantime, there were allegations by OBC candidates that they are not getting exemption from their entitlement. Due to which he expressed his opposition. After which orders have now been given by the National Commission for Backward Classes that people of OBC category will be given 5% relaxation in recruitment. After which OBC candidates have got a lot of relief.

Let us tell you that these recruitments have come out in the primary schools of the Basic Education Council. On which the complaint of irregularity was filed by the candidates. In which it was said that in 2018 OBC and differently abled candidates are not being given 5% relaxation in marks. Along with this, evidence was also given by him. He said that OBC candidates are also being kept like unreserved category.

On receiving the complaint of irregularities in the recruitment, the chairman of the commission Dr. Lokesh Kumar Prajapati gave instructions to remove the discrepancy. He said in the order that according to the provisions of the notification dated July 29, 2011 by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE), the rules should be followed like other recruitments of the Basic Education Department. Also, OBC category candidates should be given a relaxation of five percent in the passing marks i.e., at least 60 marks out of the total 150 should be passed. Let us tell you that in teacher recruitment, the minimum percentage for general category people has been kept 45. While 40 percent has been kept for SC-ST or OBC.
