It has been possible. The Forum of Academics for Social has put this demand before the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University, Professor Yogesh Kumar Singh. The forum has told that the students who had taken admission online in the colleges last year. Many colleges have not yet got their forensic labs examined and the concerned authorities checked the caste certificates of SC, ST and OBC quota, EWS. The Forum has reiterated the demand for verification of caste certificates before the commencement of semester examinations or before the commencement of the upcoming academic session 2022-23. In fact, universities and colleges have opened from 17 February 2022. In such a situation, it is being demanded that first the colleges should check the caste certificates at their level, then after that they should be examined in the forensic lab and got them examined by the concerned authorities.

Fake documents are on the rise
Forum Chairman Dr. Hansraj Suman said that the demand for verification of caste certificates is being made because it has been seen that for the last many years, students get admission on the basis of fake caste certificates and the students who are actually entitled. , they are deprived of it. Dr. Suman has also told that in the courses in which students had applied online last year, they took admission in the college online on the basis of marks, whereas after applying online, Delhi University or the concerned college admission process is completed. After that, all the certificates are sent to the forensic lab for examination and to the concerned authorities for examination.

Forensic investigation affected due to Corona
Caste certificates have not been verified for the last two years due to the Corona epidemic. He has told that earlier the Special Cell of Delhi University used to get the caste certificates checked for SC, ST and OBC quota, but now the centralized admission system has ended. Dr. Suman has told that for the last several years it has been seen that fake caste certificates of SC, ST and OBC quota were found in colleges. That too was possible only when it was suspected that the caste certificates of these colleges were scrutinized and whose caste certificate was found to be fake, their admission was canceled and no penalty was given. He says that in the year 2020-21 and 2022, students have started coming to the college from February 17, 2022. They say that the caste certificates of students belonging to SC / ST or OBC or EWS quota should be checked by the college at their level.
