About a decade ago, the Renault Duster made a lot of noise in the Indian market due to its strong looks and affordable price. But is this superhit SUV going to be discontinued? Actually Renault India has removed the Duster from its official website. Which indicates that this car may be discontinued soon. However, at present the company has not made any announcement in this regard.

The sale of Renault Duster, which once ruled the Indian SUV market, has fallen drastically. In such a situation, it is believed that the company can also stop the production of SUVs for the Indian market. By the way, the company has launched Triber (Triber) and Kiger (Kiger) with modern design. Both these cars offer the same 5-seater option as the Duster. At the same time, the company’s small car Kwid (Kwid) is also doing well in the entry segment.

These SUVs got a fierce collision

Duster demand has continued to decline in recent years. The main reason for this was the strong competition in the market. Due to which Duster continued to lag behind. Many new compact SUVs like Kia Seltos, Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier have entered this segment. This also affected the demand for this SUV from Renault in this segment.

Engine and Features

The Renault Duster comes with two options including 1.5-litre petrol and 1.3-litre turbo petrol. The 1.5-litre petrol variant generates 105bhp power and 142Nm torque. While the 1.3-litre turbo petrol variant makes 154bhp power and 254Nm peak torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a CVT unit.
