New Delhi. Automobile company Skoda Auto India on Monday launched its completely new Slavia car in the market. Its starting showroom price is Rs 10.69 lakh. Introduced in the premium mid-size sedan segment, Skoda has brought this model in three variants – Active, Ambition and Style. The one-litre TSI petrol engine will be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. Apart from this, the option of a six-speed automatic gearbox will also be available in the Ambition and Style variants of this model.
This Skoda sedan car will compete with Honda City, Hyundai’s Verna and Maruti Suzuki’s Ciaz in the domestic market. The company said that the manual version of the Slavia Active has been priced at Rs 10.69 lakh. The Style Automatic variant costs Rs 15.39 lakh.
Jack Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India said, “We are offering our customers the best of value with the Slavia 1.0 TSE. We have been getting a very good response from the people right from the initial performance of this car.” The company also plans to launch the Slavia with the 1.5 liter TSI engine. Skoda also introduced the Kushak model in the Indian market last year.
