Police were searching for a suspect Tuesday in connection with three separate shootings in New York City that killed at least two people within hours.
The suspect was identified as Sundance Oliver by the New York City Police Department, who noted that Oliver had 12 prior arrests and was considered armed and extremely dangerous.
According to the NYPD, the multiple shooting began around 9:30 a.m. EST Monday when officers at the NYPD’s 77th Precinct received reports that a person had been shot.
Three shooting incidents:
Sundance Oliver is wanted in connection with three separate shootings in New York City on December 6. A 96-year-old man was found by NYPD officers with a gunshot wound to the ankle, according to the NYPD.

Police said the shooter tried to rob the female victim before starting the fire. They miss the victim and attack the old man instead before fleeing the scene. Police are asking for the public’s help in this case and anyone with information should call 911 or DM NYPDTips or call 800-577-TIPS.
NYPD shooting explained:
The shooting began around 9:30 a.m. EST Monday when police in the NYPD’s 77th Precinct received reports that a man had been shot. The man was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Officers from the NYPD’s 5th Precinct responded to a call of a person shot on the sixth floor of the building around 2:40pm EST on Monday.
Then, shortly before midnight, the NYPD’s 73rd Precinct responded to a report of a female victim who had been shot in the chest in Brooklyn shortly before midnight.
After being taken to the hospital, the man was declared brain dead.
Police said they have determined that the suspect in all three shootings is the same. The reason for the firing is not known. Suspect Oliver has been arrested 12 times before and should be considered armed and dangerous.
The police have announced that the culprit is the same in all the three shooting incidents.
