Social activist and veteran journalist Kee Hua Chee passed away unexpectedly.
What happened to Kei Hua Che?
Mi-Ki Choong, event organizer, M’sia WED, United Nations Global Ambassador and close friend of Key, confirmed his death on Facebook today and the post read the following statement,
Dear Friends of Datuk Kee Hua See, It is with a very heavy heart that I am tasked with making a formal announcement of the demise of the late Datuk Kee Hua See.
He left us at 11.45 am on Thursday 24th March 2023 at Kola Krai. His family will cremate him today and his ashes will be interred with his father’s in Kelantan, where he was born and raised.
There will be no wake by his family, but I will keep you all posted for those who wish to pay their respects.
I request you all’s understanding and patience in not messaging his family to know more details as the plans will be released once they are confirmed. I am still processing this as I was one of the few friends of his who was notified of his passing just hours ago. My praise for him will come in due time. May he rest in eternal peace. Thanks to everyone who remembers him.
Legendary journalist and social activist Datuk Kee Hua See, who worked in the fashion and entertainment industry, passed away on Friday in his hometown of Kola Krai, Kelantan, following a long illness.
Another close friend and event organizer, Datuk Nancy Yeoh, confirmed her death on her Facebook page.
“It is with great sadness that we announce that our dearly loved Datuk Kee Hua Chee has returned to his Lordship. He died in Kelantan of diabetic pneumonia.
For more than three decades, Key worked as a writer. She is well recognized for her connections with important Malaysians including royalty, leaders, businessmen, celebrities, models and fashion designers.
He frequently appeared in social magazines and excelled in interviews with famous people. Also, she assisted in planning and promoting beauty pageants, award events and fashion shows.
