Javon Johnson, a professional musician and Virginia native, passed away yesterday, March 23, 2023. Brittany Sessoms, CEO of the Eduzi Foundation, announced the news of Johnson’s passing earlier in a Facebook post.

But when I see you..or even on fb…always, “Britt I’m proud of you” or “Hey Judy!” Better believe that. You were one of the funniest yet most talented and talented musicians I’ve ever known! May you rest in peace, may God give strength to your children, family, friends, the list goes on! You are gone, but there is no way to forget you! VA has lost a real one! Before you leave this earth, I know I will see you play at the BET Awards, Grammy Awards or something.

Javon Johnson grew up in Virginia Beach and was born in Chesapeake, Virginia. He is a freelance drummer and professional musician. Javon is undoubtedly the funniest, but also one of the most talented and talented musicians many have ever met. His talent as a musician and his integrity are unmatched.

Cause of death for Javon Johnson

Julian Riggs, senior pastor of the Church of Destiny, said,

Bro. Javon Johnson. We pray for his mother Vernetta Smith, his bonus mother Renita Whitfield, his children and fiance Altodiva Ellis. He will be greatly missed. I had the privilege of teaching him. He worked wholeheartedly in the Church of Destiny as a loyal musician. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
